I know I am probably in the minority here because there are so many vocal people in this community that can be new releases but there are already so many games that fixed all their bugs quickly, but the damage was done and their peak publicity moment had past.ħ. Even if you are one of the reviewers who will change their review once the issues are fixed, the damage is already done because you are stopping the ripple effect before it even begins.Ħ. Good developers, especially indie teams, pour themselves into these games.ĥ. I have seen a excellent games who cleaned up their launch bugs quickly never get any momentum because of the negative reviews at such a critical time. This is causing 100's of potential buyers would would have enjoyed this game to skip past it on the steam home page new releases list and in their daily suggested games list.Ĥ. This isn't elden ring, so a small number of negative reviews that may be a moot point in the near future are heavily tipping the scales. The question is how clearly do they communicate with the community and how efficiently do they handle the patches in the coming days and weeks.ģ. I don't believe they should be judged on that. I really respect and indie developer putting a game out there and skipping EA while planning a ton of post launch content.Ģ. I may be in the minority here, but I feel like this is a rather unfair way to review the game for a few reasons.ġ. I looked through and the most common complaint seems to be bugs. A pretty high percentage of the reviews coming in are negative.
